Privacy Policy

TrueLow is a free app that compares prices across online stores. We built it to work without an account, and we collect as little as we can. This page explains exactly what that is, for the app and for this website.
The short version
- The app needs no account. It doesn’t ask for your name, email, phone number or location.
- If you join our launch list on this website, we keep your email (and first name, if you use Google) only to tell you about TrueLow.
- We don’t sell your information, and we don’t show ads.
- If you set a price-drop alert, we store which product and target price, linked to a random ID, not to you.
- When you tap through to a store, that store’s own privacy policy applies.
What we collect, and why

Your watchlist and device ID are also saved on your phone. Our hosting provider may keep standard technical logs (such as IP addresses) for a short time for security and reliability.
Launch sign-up list (this website)
If you sign up to hear when TrueLow launches, we store:
- Your email address, and when you signed up.
- Your first name, only if you sign up with Google. Google shares your name, email and profile picture with us when you choose this; we keep only your email and first name, and Google never shares your password.
This website also remembers, in your own browser, that you’ve signed up (your email and first name), so it can show “On the list” and not ask you again. That copy stays on your device; clear it anytime with “Not you?” on the sign-up box or by clearing your browser data.
We use this only to email you about TrueLow’s launch and major news. We don’t sell it or share it with advertisers. Every email lets you unsubscribe, or email us and we’ll delete you from the list. The list is stored with Cloudflare, which hosts this website.
Stores and affiliate links
When you tap through to a store, you leave TrueLow. The store, and the affiliate network that credits us for the referral, may use cookies or similar technology to know you came from TrueLow. They don’t share your purchase details or personal information with us beyond what’s needed to pay a commission. Their privacy policies apply to anything you do on their sites.
Services we use
- Price data: online shopping listings, provided through SerpApi.
- Website checks: public domain registries (to see how old a store’s website is) and, where enabled, Google Safe Browsing. These receive store website names, never information about you.
- Product photos: loaded from stores, Google’s image servers and Wikimedia Commons.
- Notifications: Expo push notifications.
- Website hosting and the launch list: Cloudflare.
- “Sign up with Google”: Google, only if you choose it.
Your choices
- Remove a price alert in the app at any time, and we stop tracking it for you.
- Turn off notifications in your phone’s settings.
- Deleting the app deletes everything it stored on your phone. To delete your alerts from our server too, email us and we’ll remove them.
- Leave the launch list anytime with the unsubscribe link in any email, or by emailing us.
Children
TrueLow isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If we change how TrueLow handles information, we’ll update this page and the date at the top. Significant changes will also be noted in the app.
